Meet Greg Darrah, State of California Portfolio Director
Within days of joining M Corp, Greg Darrah is already off and running as the State of California Portfolio Director. This is a new, key role as M Corp continues to expand business efforts throughout California – and beyond.
“I’ll be taking responsibility for project delivery in California, and helping to expand our practice in the state. We want to be sure we’re executing projects consistently and delivering successfully.”
A Sacramento resident for 20 years, Greg has also worked and lived in Boston and New York City. He earned his college degree at Cornell University, and attended boarding school in Switzerland growing up.
Within days of joining M Corp, Greg is already off and running as the State of California Portfolio Director.
He has spent most of his career with IT consultancies, including Accenture and CGI, focused on the public sector, and has worked on several large state projects for the Franchise Tax Board and the Secretary of State, among others.
“Sacramento has been a very good fit for me career-wise with all the government work,” says Greg.
And despite his steady success thus far, he’s ready for a new challenge.
It wasn’t a headhunter or a job posting that brought Greg to M Corp. In fact, it was through rowing with M Corp CEO Alex Castro that he learned the M Corp story.
Greg shares two important traits with Alex: A love of rowing, and a drive for success in the IT sector.
The two competed against each other in college, and several years later they’ve reconnected through the Sacramento rowing community. Not only do they share their love for the sport, but Greg also has the business acumen and tech experience that make him a great fit for M Corp.
“When I sat down and interviewed at M Corp, I got the feeling that everyone in the room was bright, engaged, and interesting. And that’s an awesome feeling. We may not all be like-minded, but everyone has good experience and insight.”

Greg notes that to this point, M Corp has been in growth mode, and now is the time for the company to solidify its role as a consistent, successful tech leader – and to create an “M Corp way of doing things,” as he states.
Part of his role will include working closely with clients to advise them and steer them toward making decisions that will result in success.
“One of my strengths is being straightforward and honest with clients. I tell them what matters, keep things simple and build trust into the relationship. It’s so important to make projects clear for clients, and to have them trust you.”
He notes that because the company is small, which appeals to him, those who work at M Corp are there by choice.
“Everyone here wants to contribute, they care. You can’t go off and hide at M Corp. We can make an impact here, and what we do as a company is pretty cool. It matters.”
Outside of work, Greg resides in Land Park with his wife and two daughters, ages 8 and 12. In addition to rowing, he and his wife both coach their daughters’ soccer teams and volunteer for CASA to support foster children in Sacramento County.
As he begins his career with M Corp, he knows he’s joining a company that will make a difference.
“I’m thrilled to be here. It’s going to be really exciting – it’s a leap toward something new, a great challenge.”
